Definitions: socialism, irony, hypocritical

“Believe it or not – this was in the '60s – we used to hustle on over the border for health care that we would receive in Whitehorse. I remember my brother, he burned his ankle in some little kid accident thing and my parents had to put him on a train and rush him over to Whitehorse and I think, isn't that kind of ironic now. Zooming over the border, getting health care from Canada.” -- S Palin, 2010

It is certainly not ironic in my sense that Palin's parents would do what they could to find health care for their kids... certainly not contrary to what one might expect of a parent.

But it is ironic that that Palin would speak of it in this way. Since she also talks about the terrible Canadian health care system..

Maybe Palin needs to check some definitions: socialism, irony, hypocritical

... or so flocke thinks while basking in the Mediterranean
